2009-2010 Girls Basketball

February 12

University 74,   Indiana 35   (Sectional Semifinal)

A very strong University team ended our basketball season. In the first quarter, our girls did a tremendous job and University was scared. The score was 8-16. We were down by only 8 points. Our girls came out firing again in the beginning of the second quarter; unfortunately, our gas was running out. Their best point guard player who is a senior saved the game. All of their starters are seniors and they've got t-shirts that say "Now or Never". In the second quarter they outscored us by 27-9. Our girls collapsed in the locker room during halftime. Once, I entered the locker room, I told the girls, I forbid you all to be a quitter and give up. Anything is possible. All I care about is who can finish the game period. I told them to finish the strong season and leave with a good feeling. Our girls actually did play their best in the second half but University had 31 points while our girls had 18 points. University girls are focused on playing good basketball and winning a sectional championship (who knows what will happen).

Freshman Jeter had 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She picks up every game and keeps climbing the ladder. Lastly, the University coach made a statement about our girls, he is not looking forward to having to rebuild his team to play against our girls the next year.

To my beloved assistant coaches and girls, what a season for all of us!

I, as a coach, want to thank every one of you for giving your best. I have never experienced having to come in and completely overhaul.

Everything we are going through, we are learning together for the first time, and there have been some very tough days. We don't have the upper-class women and the experience where we can say, yeah we had this happen this year and here is how we handled it. There is only one area where I can do a better job! We have made each other for who we are today! I will never replace you all and never take you all for granted.

This program is still taking baby steps back to competitiveness! I know in my heart that you all will be a very good team in the next season and you will never know how proud I am of you all! Now, we have to work hard during the off season and summer! You know this yourself ;) We are staying together as one team! We will never forget these moments that we all had. To be continued...

To parents and fans: We want to thank you all for giving us your awesome support throughout the basketball season. Our girls will be sure to increase our exciting movie to give you a good show on the court in the next year. ;)

Lastly, to Rusty, many thanks for everything that you have done for us and your more than 100% support for us. Things won't be accomplished without you!

February 10

Indiana 65,   Indy Metro 34   (Sectional first round)

Our Orioles girls played with intensity and didn't let up. We just kept going at it hard. Defensively and offensively, we played with intensity, I was very pleased to see how they played as a flow. Our girls made timely plays; so many good things happened in that game. We played with confidence and our skills. Freshman Jeter was 12-for-13 from the free throw line. Hats off to her because not many centers are good at the free throw line. She has shown improvement on her free-throws from day one. She scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Sophomore Fetzer had

21 points and 8 steals and Hoglind netted 16 points. She had 4 three points. Smith grabbed 8 rebounds and Finch pulled down 6 rebounds. Finch has improved on her defense knowledge. She makes the difference for the team to play against a big girl or tall girl.

Our girls did contribute 100% in a different ways! Our girls did a good job for making their own ISD's third time history by advancing past the first round. I am proud to be part of this history: first time as a player, second time as an assistant coach, and now as coach. I believe that our girls will go further in the sectional sometime next year or so. We have to work harder during the off season and believe in ourselves.

We will play against the University in the semifinal. Wish us the best of luck. Go Orioles!

February 6 : University (Homecoming)

University 49,   Indiana 13  (ISD's Homecoming)

Once again, shoot, we had a lack of players: Jeter was sick, Hoglind was in Oklahoma for the Academic Bowl (and brought home with the bacon) Guiletta and Megan out for the basketball season. We faced a well known basketball program and veteran team. It is going to be important for us to develop habits where we very rarely are messing up on those mental and skills mistakes. That's how we become a good team. We, the coaches, see that our bench needs to improve in some areas. We can work toward that each day, and our bench's effort and intensity has improved over their past few games. It is a matter of effort and caring about what we take and how we play defense and offense. We have to have pride in those things. When we do that we can be really be a good team and we have to play a complete game that way. It is over for our regular game and we will face Indy Metro in the sectional in first round. We did beat Indy Metro easily in the beginning of the season. They might have improved throughout the basketball season. We will see. Go ISD!

February 2 : Howe

Tindley 46,   Indiana 26

We are struggling to find a way to end the game with a good finish with only 8 players as two starters did not play that game. Our girls are still exhausted/injured from the championship game vs. Maryland. In addition, another key player, Giuletta Maucere is out of the basketball season due to a broken thumb from the championship game. It is time for us to play all 32 minutes of a game with good sportsmanship and fun. The bench has more time play and experience. We will have the last home game vs. University on Homecoming day.

January 30 : C.S.S.D.

Maryland 63,   Indiana 20  (CSSD championship game)

It was a real heartbreaker and the worst game we ever played in the 2009-2010 basketball season. Our girls had 45 turnovers. We did scare Maryland in the first quarter but they took care of us the rest of the game with no mercy. Hoosiers struggled to break the full-court press and

half- court trap. They knew our biggest flaw is to break their press and they took advantage of it. They got a feel for the tournament and to get a championship. We just couldn't get them slowed down in transition and they got confidence. Their defensive pressure turned the game into a pinball free-for-all. The Hoosier Ladies did not play with intensity like  them.  This is a team dominated by young girls vs the veteran team.  These girls have never been on a winning basketball championship in Clerc and a winning season. That game tells us a lot on what we need to work on  - fixing silly errors. If we correct mistakes and string together wins, then we will talk of further, and especially to weightlifting during the offseason. From that night, we learned from a tough loss. I've said since the day one, I got the job as a coach: I will get it turned back. I will get it done and bring the legacy back.

Our time hasn't arrived yet. Our girls have a bright future. We had no seniors on our team. Many of them are freshmen and sophomores and only two juniors. I am proud of the girls for trying their best and representing ISD well with class. Congratulations to Kate Fetzer and TraciAnn Hoglind! They earned an all star for the CSSD. They deserved it. Hands waving to them!

January 29 : C.S.S.D.

Indiana 47,   Illinois 34   (CSSD second round)

Once again, it was a tight first quarter that Illinois refused to let us get ahead of them and stayed with us closely. The challenge of getting back on track is difficult; however, in the second quarter, we took care of them.  We made many field goals in that same stretch 16-3 in the second quarter and they couldn't stop us. In the second half, we continued trailing 12-5 through the third quarter until the fourth quarter, then we started to play sloppy and had some mental errors.

Illinois took control of the game in the fourth quarter and outscored us 16-8. They made the run, but we still managed to win the game. We need to get the smoke clear for the championship game vs. Maryland, as they have gals who can step up and hit those big plays.  It's going to be tough on everybody. What we can't do is hang our heads and feel like we didn't play good defense and offense. Once again, Fetzer scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.

See us in the championship game. GO ORIOLES GIRLS!

January 28 : C.S.S.D.

Indiana 54,   Minn North Star 19   (CSSD first round)

Young Lady Orioles are too much talent for the Minn North Star; however, it is their second year of the basketball program and they showed improvement in many areas with their great coach. We gave them great respect for playing hard throughout the game. Our bench players remained vital as they played a lot of time, while our first five were having fun being cheerleaders for the players on the court. We had a lead on them and we kept on a roll. Our bench has improved over their past games.

Fetzer was leading the way in scoring with 30 points and 14 steals; TraciAnn had 8 steals. Jeter and Giuletta combined pulling down 19 rebounds.  We will play against Illinois for the semifinal.  Way to go, young Orioles Ladies!

Junior Megan Bernella broke her thumb and is out for the basketball season. Our girls adjusted well with a new starter.

January 26 : Greenwood Christian Academy

Greenwood Christian 47,   Indiana 33

In the early season, we lost to them 58 to 43. We hoped for a victory this time. Unfortunately, it didn't work that way. All of their starters are seniors. The coach of Greenwood Christian was shocked because we had no seniors, only two juniors, and the rest of the others are freshman and sophomore.

Greenwood Christian played their best basketball game. We struggled to get ahead of them. The game was staying close. We did not give them an easy job for a victory. In the first half, we were down by 12. Coach Huser changed the game plan for the second half. Our girls did a beautiful job and we played tough toe to toe defense. We couldn't slow their shooting down in the last game; however, we did slow their shooting down this game. We couldn't limit their number of fast break lay-ups. However, it was a really good game. We played hard on defense and smart on offense. The final score does not show how close the game really was. I was very proud of the girls in the second half. It was real team effort. Freshman Giuletta had 6 shots and Jeter grabbed 11 rebounds with not much time of playing due to her foul trouble in the first half. Sophomore Fetzer and Hoglind both scored 8 points and Smith netted 9 points.

January 25 : Bethesda Christian (JV)

Bethesda 33    ISD 30

We used 4-1, 3-2 and motion offensive plays.  We used 23,32, women to women on defensive.  Good passes around the plays and we used press defensive most of the game.  We used timeout to design a 3 point game with 6 seconds left.  We almost made the 3 pointer and missed the last one.  It was good game.

January 19 : Liberty Christian

Indiana 35,   Liberty Christian 34

Wow, what a game! ISD and Liberty Christian were staying in the game until the time clock was 0:00. We played a hard basketball game even though our girls had jetlag. The girls did not let their tiredness beat their mentality. Liberty Christian refused to give up and stayed with us closely. We moved the ball around well in the last few seconds until 0:00. We played better as a team on offense.  The coaches are really proud of the way our girls fought at the end of the game!  Our next tough match will be Greenwood Christian. We lost to them 59-43 last December. Then CSSD, here we come. Come and support us!  Our girls will give a good show, so come watch us play basketball in person. Go ISD!

January 16 : Clerc Classic

MSSD 40,   Indiana 29

MSSD is a beatable team, however, their motivation beat our girls' talents for that game. Our girls did not hold the lead in the game. Turnovers were the biggest cost in the game. MSSD played aggressively and had a pressing defense on our girls in the fourth quarter. Their best player saved the game. However, from this game, we learned that we need to play hard every game. We finished in fourth place. It was a rich experience for us and we gained more hands-on experience.  Congratulations to Kate Fetzer!  She earned an All Star for the Clerc Classic. She deserved it. Hands waving to her!

January 15 : Clerc Classic

Maryland 52,   Indiana 30

It was a real heartbreaking game. Our girls and the Maryland girls played very well in the first half. Maryland had the lead going into halftime - up 8 points. During halftime the coaches threw more wood at the girls to continue their firing at the hoop. In the third quarter, all of a sudden, Maryland took a 19 point lead into the break, while we only made 3 points in the third quarter. We just could not make baskets.  The Maryland team scored transition baskets on timely fast breaks. That really changed the game. We were struggling to find a way to end the game with a big comeback after we were down with 24 points. It was a tough loss for us.

January 14 : Clerc Classic

Indiana 45,   Riverside 15

We were too talented for Riverside. We, the coaches, balanced our starters and second five to play together throughout the game. It is warming us up to get ready to play against a tough team Maryland.  Jasmine Jeter and Kate Fetzer each had 14 points and TraciAnn Hoglind had 11 points with 3 three pointers. Megan Bernella had 5 steals and Kate Fetzer made 9 steals. We are ready to face Maryland.

January 11 : Edinburgh

Edinburgh 59,   Indiana 18

Finally, a long month since our last game in 2009, we started off the game slowly, as expected, due to the long layoff. Our girls faced a tough challenge as ISD's home game, the first home game for 2010. Our girls could not get better as the game went on. We were not able to recover and dropped the contest, 59-18. Jenna Smith scored 8 points to lead the Lady Orioles with six rebounds. One of Edinburgh's players reached 1,000 points. Heads up, girls!

January 7 : Tindley

December 17 : Park Tudor (JV)

Park Tudor 34,  ISD 4

Park Tudor used their woman to woman game throughout the game. We got out of control and were not able to get back with them.  The 1st quarter score was 10 to none and I changed our team defense from 200 to 300 and we contained them only 2 points in the 2nd quarter, which was very good on our defense but we could not score against them because of their woman to woman style. The score was 12 to 2 at halftime. The second halftime Park Tudor got very hot and built up their lead . Our players never experienced the woman to woman technique in our first 5 games, so we will have to practice it, to be prepared for the next game.

December 12 : Illinois Deaf School

Game Nine:  Illinois 20,  Indiana 38

Our girls did not get off to a great start in the first half. We had a rough start against a mule Illinois School for the Deaf team who refused to give up on us. At halftime, we gave our girls a big boost and got their heads into the game.  I told the girls, I know that you are not in the game and we have to defeat this kind of mentality. In the third quarter, we still played cold with only 6 points. Then, in the fourth quarter, our girls changed the tempo of the game and jumped out to a 17-point lead in less than eight minutes.

It was amazing how they played in the fourth quarter. Our girls waited too long to make the game interesting. I told the girls most importantly, when we get in there we need to know we are ready to play. If we come out and play every night like that, we are going to have a pretty good season in 2010. We set goals for ourselves to keep extending the lead. We, the coaches, like where we are right now. We’ve done some good things, and now we’ve just got to keep our focus and try to improve ourselves for 2010.

Jenna Smith scored 13 points to lead the Lady Orioles with six rebounds and Kate Fetzer finished with eleven points, four steals, and dished nice passes with five assists. TraciAnn Hoglind finished with eight points and eight rebounds; Jasmine Jeter grabbed thirteen rebounds. Megan Bernella played really good basketball in that game. It was nice to have her doing that during this game. Our girls had a great number of fans from Indiana which surely inspired our girls. Thanks to you  - the fans and parents of our girls! We are looking forward to having 2010 bring us a joyful season! We, the coaches, want to thank the girls for giving their best and making 2009 merry! Our girls are a priceless team! We are 3-6 now. Our girls have been improving as we continue to build, which makes the coaches eager to see what will happen. Go girls!

Jr. Varsity - Illinois Deaf 25, ISD 23 (Overtime)

They played their hearts out trying to win that game. They played great with Blue press defense full court against them.  They moved the offensive motions better and found the open women to score more points. I used all the players on the court. They did their best to hustle their defense to make Illinois have a lot of turnovers. Just near the end of the game, Jori Gibson fouled out and the score was 23 to 23.  Jori played her best game, especially on defense. What hurt the most was the free throws as we were 2 for 9.  We lost to Illinois by their last 2 free throws in overtime. I was happy with our efforts but we did not get our first win.

December 8 : Greenwood Christian Academy

Game Eight:  Greenwood 58,   Indiana 43

Our girls dug a hole and couldn’t climb out.  This game had a slow start that the Orioles couldn’t overcome! We had a poor second quarter and third quarter and it cost us and we could never get back from that. We kept talking about how good at shooting the Greenwood Christian team was. If we left them open for a second; they are going to hit it! They are tough to stop with their shooters and they space the floor with shooters, so from a defensive standpoint it was tough for our girls. But still that is not an excuse. Our girls fought back in the second half, but they did not have enough at the end because they had used up all their energy getting back into the game. We, the coaches, are still proud of our girls for their efforts. We will rematch them in January.

TraciAnn Hoglind hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points; Kate Fetzer added 12 points.  TraciAnn had her high score of three 3-pointers.  Coach Huser, however, still holds the school records at five 3-pointers. Jasmine Jeter and TraciAnn Hoglind combined 22 rebounds.

December 3 : Cloverdale

Game Seven:  Cloverdale 37,   Indiana 36

Lady Orioles had a long trip to Cloverdale which is an hour away from ISD. Lady Orioles jumped off to a great start by outscoring the opponent  22-17 in the first half. We were leading 5 points at halftime. We got down real early in the game. Unfortunately,  Lady Orioles had a bad second half. It was not enough to get the job done.  Lady Orioles were Santa Claus by giving them too many second chance points. Lady Orioles kept the margin around seven until Cloverdale scored the final thirteen points in the third quarter to take a 30-29 lead.

The Lady Orioles blew their chance to get any closer in the fourth quarter because we were leading by two points once again. Lady Orioles were not using time wisely when we were leading. Lady Orioles did not do themselves any favors by going eight out of fourteen free throws. Lady Orioles were led by Sophomore perimeter shooting TraciAnn Hoglind’s 14 points. Hoglind also had nine rebounds. Hoglind shot the ball well from the perimeter. Likewise, her time will come and here she goes.  I applaud Kate Fetzer for her courage to bring the ball with two, sometimes three defenders on  her. Fetzer is getting better at every game with her dribbling skills. Fetzer and Jenna Smith had four steals each. Smith and Jasmine Jeter were a little cold in that game. Smith and Jeter are eager to play in the next game to make up for the Cloverdale game. Tiara Finch had four rebounds. Lady Orioles bench players were having fun being cheerleaders for the first five who played on the court.

We, the coaches are grateful to have them be part of it. Lady Orioles definitely need to play better as a team before we face a tough opponent, Greenwood Academy, who beat us by 30 points last year.

Jr. Varsity - Cloverdale 34,  I.S.D 8

We finally have a full rooster of players on our team. I expected a lot better playing from them against Cloverdale, but it didn’t happen. Their offensive motions are still a struggle and don’t seem to be getting better. They can’t even box and rebound and they need a lot of footwork and fundamental skills to shoot.  We will have a lot of practices on shooting. Their defense was still good against Cloverdale.

December 1 : Indy Metro Academy

Game Six: ISD 60,  Indy Metro 36

Both teams had foul trouble as the biggest nightmare, causing a lot of pauses in the game.  Both hoops were shaking a lot and the Lady Orioles were struggling to make the free throws get into the basket. Lady Orioles’ free throws were  13 out of 43. Lady Orioles played in the cold gymnasium and we escaped with a victory!  Lady Orioles had too much talent for the Indy Metro team; however, we were struggling to play against their big size. The chemistry had been clicking well for the Lady Orioles on offensive. We, the coaches, were very pleased to see each girl playing better as the game went on. Sophomore Kate Fetzer scored 14 points to lead the Lady Orioles with six steals and six assists, while Jenna Smith finished with 12 points and six rebounds. TraciAnn Hoglind and Jasmine Jeter added 11 points and 10 rebounds each. Junior Tiara Finch netted four points.  I am happy to see the girls moving the ball well and we made seventeen assists. Way to go!

November 24 : Lutheran

Game Five: Lutheran 62, Indiana 24

Even though the score doesn’t look good, this was just an unbelievable game. It has been always a tough one to beat Lutheran, last year’s Regional Champions. Lutheran had three players taller than Jasmine, however she gave them a tough job with a very physical game. Hats off to Jasmine! In the first half, Lutheran outscored us badly; however, in the second half, we outscored them! In the second half, we played hard on defense and we made a few adjustments on offense that worked very well. Jenna Smith took over the point guard and along with Kate Fetzer, made many good things happen on offense. Jenna is getting better and better at every game. Tiara Finch played with her heart on defense with her hustle. Although TraciAnn Hoglind didn’t score, she continued shooting as directed. She takes responsibility to shoot the ball for the team and her time will come soon. We were getting better to feed inside to the post players. Jasmine is learning faster with her role inside. Jasmine and Jenna will be the two who will be contributing to the team inside the paint with their secret weapons.  In the second half, we started to see ourselves in our true colors and potential as we came out firing in the fourth quarter 12-9. Kate Fetzer made 6 out of 6 free throws. It shows that she improved on her free throws from the first game. She made 12 points and Jenna Smith netted 8 points. The girls managed well to meet our high expectations. The coaches are really proud of our girls for their effort and for doing their best. They are always willing to learn new things and they are a fun group to be with. Lastly, I wanted to give the bench a huge recognition for their patience, study, good attitude, and high spirit for their teammates who played on the court. We got great respect from the other coaches by playing hard with only seven girls.

Our next game will be at Indy Metro Academy on December 1st at 6 pm.

Jr. Varsity - Lutheran 41,  Indiana 12

Our third game was against Lutheran.  We still had six players with two players being sick and sent home.  Kerisha Rogers recently joined our team.  We still struggle with our offensive motion. Need to improve our fundamental skills to get our offense to move to a  higher level.  We played great defensively against a powerful team, Lutheran. The score was 41-12.  Suzette has improved a lot on her offensive skills, and so has Joella, as an offensive leader.

November 19 : Lapel

Game Four:  Lapel 52, Indiana 16

We next played against a well-known strong basketball program. We did play well in the beginning but then Lapel took control of the game. Their outside shots were awesome and they moved the ball around well, leading to a collapse in our defense. However, we played with intensity and didn’t let up. Even though we made many field goal attempts, our shooting accuracy wasn’t there yet. I must give credit to the second string players as they played well in the fourth quarter with good passing. They are continuing to climb the ladder at every game. The raw talent on our team continues to become more developed and refined with the experience from each new game.

Jr. Varsity - Lapel 43,  Indiana 15

Second game was against Lapel.  We only had 6 players again. We are still learning our offensive motions plays.  Still struggling, need to improve our footwork and shooting skills! We played pretty good defensively against a very strong team like Lapel.  No one fouled out but had turnovers.  Need to improve our offensive system.  We lost to Lapel 43 to 15.

November 18 : Fall Creek Academy

Game Three: Indiana 42, Fall Creek Academy 29

We finally won our first game, defeating the Fall Creek Academy. Before the game, we had a prep meeting to get our heads together. Our assistant coach, Paul Maucere gave a quick and strong message to the girls:”We always play great in the first half but not in the second half. We beat ourselves and we run out of energy. We need to learn to keep the energy until the game is over.” We started fresh and with a full team. We continued to improve as we started to learn how to play with our roles: Kate Fetzer takes care of bringing the ball up the court; Jenna Smith is proficient with her drive down the lane; Jenna and Jasmine are both developing a strong solid inside game; and TraciAnn Hoglind is our best weapon for shooting. Kate Fetzer, Jenna Smith, and Jasmine Jeter finished with the team’s high in scoring with 10 points each. Joella Hazelett did a tremendous job to take over Kate’s role when she was having foul trouble. She netted 4 points in the second quarter. Megan Bernella and Tiara Finch netted 2 points each.

November 17 : Daleville

Game Two: Daleville 31, Indiana 22

The Daleville team had the same players returning from last year, most of them seniors. They are a good shooting team and we were prepared for it. Last year, they beat us 41-32.  Turnovers were the biggest nightmare for the ISD girls. We had 22 turnovers in the second quarter. Kate Fetzer had foul trouble in the first half with 3 fouls and that changed our game plan game. Kate is our key point guard and her speed can outplay the other player who defends her. Also, Jasmine Jeter, our key player for the inside, was sick and missed the game as the flu started to spread through our team. We missed eight easy lay-ups and that cost us the game. Our girls also faced a new challenge using a motion offense. The girls loved it and they need work on developing chemistry. We will get there with time!

Jr. Varsity - Daleville 21,  Indiana 11

Our first game was against Daleville at home. We had only 6 players. We struggled with our offense throughout the game with the motion drive offense which is new to us. We played defensively well even though one of our players, Joella Hazelett, fouled out early in the third quarter.  We then had  5 players in the game with no extra player.  Early in the fourth quarter, Jori Gibson fell on the floor and hit her head badly and was pulled out of the game.  We were down to 4 players throughout the fourth quarter.  I was impressed by how they played great defense to finish out the game.  The score was 21 to 11.

November 12 : International

Game One:    International 33, Indiana 30

With only 8 days of practice after a great volleyball season, the girls had a hard time adjusting to the basketball court with a lot of running, physical play, their new roles and new coaches. The loss was a real good lesson for the girls. They played well in the first half and we had the lead going into 4th quarter with a few minutes left. International outplayed our girls with their heart. ISD hit only six out of sixteen free throws and that cost us the game. The girls did one hundred free-throws each in the next day at practice and they improved. The season is just beginning.

November 5 : Lutheran (scrimmage)

I would like to share information about our beloved ISD Lady Orioles basketball team. It is really an honor to be coaching the Varsity Girls Basketball team. It is nice to give back to the girls from my experience in high school. I always believe in ‘paying it forward’ from what I’ve learned from the coaches in the past. The girls are a unique team. We lost three senior starters from last year: Ann Whited, Amanda Phillips, and Janna DiBiase. We have eight returning players from last year and we have the program for the Junior Varsity Basketball team. It is really a special privilege to have Paul Maucere and Dave Trimborn to work with me as assistant coaches. As coaches, we have an outstanding chemistry working with the girls. The history for the ISD basketball program has been like a rollercoaster. My passion is to bring the legacy back, help the girls improve their fundamental skills for the game, and help them understand the game better. We have only seven girls on the varsity team and 4 girls who are playing for the Junior Varsity team as well as the Varsity team.  This is a new team and I told the girls, your future is NOW. We have no seniors this year and we have only two Juniors, Megan Bernella and Tiara Finch. We have five sophomores: Kate Fetzer, Jenna Smith, TraciAnn Hoglind, Hillary Peters, and Jori Gibson, four of whom have been playing basketball together since 4th grade. Their knowledge of basketball is getting better at every game. We have three Freshmen: Jasmine Jeter, Giuletta Maucere, and Joella Hazelett.  Jasmine Jeter has the size and makes the difference for the team. Giuletta and Joella are improving with every game.
