Guidelines for Campus Visitors

ISD receives many requests from persons and organizations to visit the campus and classrooms.  Because ISD is an educational facility, it is necessary to restrict these visits during the school day to reduce disruption of the instruction.

The following groups may request an Educational Visit:

• Families of deaf and hard of hearing students interested in ISD as possible educational placement for their children; and

• Professionals working in the field of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education.      

Visits are arranged by contacting the Family Resource Center.  A two-week advanced notice is requested so that an appropriate visit can be planned and interpreters can be scheduled.
